Combining strengths in tax and white-collar crime: Grezesch & Bachmann and Minoggio form Minoggio Grezesch Bachmann

The law firms Grezesch & Bachmann and Minoggio, which specialise in tax, criminal tax law and commercial criminal law, will operate as Minoggio Grezesch Bachmann (MGB). The new entity comprises 23 lawyers specialising in white collar crime and tax fraud, including eight partners, with offices in Bremen, Münster, Cologne, Hamburg and Hamm.

Grezesch & Bachmann, which grew out of a sole practice founded by Wolf Grezesch in 1980, has specialised in tax litigation and criminal tax law since its inception. A further mainstay of the firm is the defence of tax advisors and accountants against claims for damages. The firm, which currently has five partners and nine other professionals, draws its strength from the combination of sound knowledge of substantive tax law and criminal law. In addition to Bremen, Grezesch & Bachmann has had an office in Hamburg since 2016 and another in Cologne since the beginning of 2024.

Founded in 1984, Minoggio is a commercial and criminal tax law boutique with offices in Münster and Hamm. With three partners and six associates, the firm offers companies and individuals a wide range of advice and representation in commercial and criminal tax law. In addition to individual defence, the firm focuses on representation and defence in criminal tax proceedings. A particular strength of the firm, in addition to its academic character, is the extensive forensic experience of all partners.

“With our combined expertise and significantly increased team strength, we are well placed to handle even more extensive corporate defence work, as well as resource-intensive internal investigations and tax compliance projects,” says Dr. Barbara Bischoff, partner in Münster.

“We will not be offering tax structuring advice or general legal advice in the future, but will continue to focus on tax litigation and criminal proceedings,” emphasises Dr. Jochen Bachmann, partner in the Bremen office.

Over the years, Minoggio Grezesch Bachmann have built up an extensive network in the legal and tax market, from which it is repeatedly called upon as a specialist for complex mandates. Our corporate defence clients include medium-sized and large companies from all over Germany.
